The Vélodyssée along the Atlantic Coast

A 1,300-kilometer cycling route along the Atlantic coast from Roscoff to Hendaye. Marvel at the scenery, take your time, and discover the treasures of the Atlantic Coast through varied landscapes—cliffs, forests, the ocean—while traveling along a marked and safe route.

Capbreton – Bayonne

LANDAE is located on the Capbreton–Bayonne leg. This section of the route allows you to explore the charming towns of Capbreton, Labenne, Ondres, Tarnos, Boucau, and Bayonne. It serves as a bridge between the Landes region and the Basque Country.
The LANDAE campground is in the process of obtaining the “Accueil Vélo” certification.

LANDAE is located 280 meters from the Vélodyssée route.

Northbound >; Southbound:
– 1. Once you reach Avenue de la Plage in Ondres, continue toward the beach and Tarnos on the bike path.
– 2. At the intersection with Chemin de la Montagne (at the Dous Maynadyes school intersection), turn right onto Chemin de la Montagne; you’ll leave the Vélodyssée
– 3. Ride the remaining 280 meters and you’ll see the LANDAE campground on your left.

Southbound >; Northbound:
– 2. Once you reach Avenue de la Plage in Ondres, continue toward the town center and Labenne on the bike path.
– 3. At the intersection with Chemin de la Montagne (Dous Maynadyes School intersection), turn left onto Chemin de la Montagne; you’ll leave the Vélodyssée
– Ride the remaining 280 meters and you’ll find the LANDAE campground on your left.

Cyclist Welcome

The LANDAE campground has tent sites that are ideal for cyclists. To book a single night, contact the front desk by email or phone (the online booking system does not allow for single-night reservations). For cyclists’ convenience, we offer:
– a locked room to store bikes overnight (upon request)
– luggage storage
– a bike-cleaning area
– a secure area for recharging batteries (upon request)
